Andy Challen

Originally from Plymouth England Andy moved to Edinburgh in 2009 where he played the local open mic scene before meeting Gavin (below) in 2010. At this time Gavin was playing in a high energy Rock Blues band called Missing Cat, inspired by their sound, musicianship and depth of character & spirit Andy asked Gav for a jam, the rest - as they say - is history.

Influences include, in no particular order of preference: Peter Green; Dan Aurebach; John Martyn; John Lee Hooker; The Black Keys; Beatles; Wu Tang Clan; Miles Davis; Hendrix; Freddie King; Davey Graham; Keith Richards; Skip James; Muddy Waters; Chet Baker; Little Walter; A Tribe Called Quest; Gill Scott Heron; John Coltrane........and many more.

Gavin Jack

Gavin is a music producer, teacher and performer based in Edinburgh. Originally from Thankerton in South Lanarkshire, Gavin started playing music at a young age when someone lent him a guitar and some tab books during the summer break. "I started out learning songs by my favourite bands at the time. Mainly Rage against the machine, Sepultura, The Chillies, Smashing pumpkins and Radiohead. Then I wanted to learn how to improvise, so I started to take guitar lessons. My tutor got me into the blues and that's when I really started to grow as a musician"

Gavin has played in many bands and projects over the years and is now also delving into the world of writing music for film and television. His career has been influenced mostly by Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Davy Graham, Guns "n" Roses, Peter Green, Pink Floyd, Low, JJ cale......and too many more to mention.
